About the Programme:
The duo invites the audience on a journey through the rich musical landscape of Scandinavia.
Spanning from the Baroque era to Romanticism and contemporary folk traditions, this unique musical experience features works by composers such as Dietrich Buxtehude, Edvard Grieg, Ludvig Mathias
Lindeman, Carl Bohlmann, and Max Bruch.
The nyckelharpa, with its distinctive ability to connect its Scandinavian roots with a romantic expressiveness, breathes life into this repertoire. Its numerous sympathetic strings and
overtone-rich sound blend beautifully with the nuanced timbre of a grand piano, vividly evoking the emotions and colours of Nordic music.
About the Artists:
Marco Ambrosini is one of the world’s leading interpreters of the nyckelharpa, celebrated internationally as an outstanding virtuoso, educator, and ambassador for this Scandinavian
instrument.
Eva-Maria Rusche is a highly versatile keyboardist whose mastery spans a variety of instruments and styles. Her profound affinity with Nordic music makes her the perfect partner for this
extraordinary concert programme.
